Full custom haircolour
A comprehensive, high-detail haircolour for when every strand needs attention. This all-inclusive service is designed for intricate work like full-head micro-foiling or a root touch-up paired with a full head of foils on long, thick, and/or dense hair. Ideal for achieving maximum impact and a seamless, multi-dimensional result.
Balayage
Derived from the French word for "sweeping," balayage is a freehand hair-painting technique designed to mimic the way the sun naturally lightens hair. Whether applied in the open air or my personal favourite, through "foilage" (using foils for added lift and precision), the result is a sophisticated, multidimensional finish.
Key Characteristics
The Gradient: It typically features denser lightness through the ends, transitioning seamlessly into a soft, natural-looking root.
Custom Dimension: The technique is highly adaptable. It can be dialed up for high-contrast drama or kept subtle for a sun-kissed glow.
The Aesthetic: The ultimate goal is a lived-in look that appears effortless rather than engineered.
Why Choose Balayage?
It is the gold standard for low-maintenance luxury. Because there are no harsh demarcation lines at the root, the colour grows out beautifully, allowing for much more time between salon visits compared to traditional highlights. It’s the perfect choice for anyone seeking a "born with it" feel with a modern, high-end edge.
Babylights
Babylights are the ultimate technique for those seeking a "lit-from-within" glow. By using ultra-fine, delicate sections, this method mimics the natural, multi-tonal hair colour seen on children (hence the name).
What Sets Them Apart
Micro-Precision: I utilize micro-foils to weave incredibly thin strands, ensuring the highlights are so fine they blend into the base colour without any chunky lines.
Soft Regrowth: Because the weaves are so delicate, they grow out softly and gracefully, even when applied close to the scalp.
Low Contrast, High Shine: The result is a shimmering, multidimensional effect that looks sophisticated and effortless.
Why You’ll Love Them
Babylights are a "secret weapon" for hair colour. They are particularly effective for:
Camouflaging Grays: The fine weaving blends silver strands into the overall colour for a natural look.
Brightening Without Drama: Perfect if you want to go lighter but prefer a refined, "born-with-it" finish.
Total Versatility: They are stunning on their own or can be layered with other techniques for added depth.
Pro Tip: Babylights are my most requested service for clients who want to brighten their look while maintaining the absolute highest level of natural-looking detail.
Micro-foils
Micro-foils are a high-precision technique where hair is sectioned into any combination of ultra-thin slices or weaves and placed back-to-back. By leaving minimal "negative space" (natural hair) between the foils, we can achieve a level of detail and brightness that traditional foiling simply can’t match.
The "Back-to-Back" method
The secret to this technique is the density. Because the foils are placed so close together, the hair is saturated with light and dimension from every angle. This approach is the key to:
Maximum Brightness: It allows us to lift the hair to its lightest possible shade while maintaining a sophisticated, high-end feel.
Seamless Integration: Whether we are using babylights, fine slices, or a combination of both, the result is a "solid" yet multidimensional color that lacks any harsh lines or "tiger stripes."
A Soft-Focus Finish: Even with maximum blonde, the regrowth remains soft and diffused, making it ideal for those who want high-impact colour without the high-contrast maintenance.
Who is it for?
Micro-foiling is the premier choice for clients who want to be noticably lighter but still demand a soft, blended look. It’s perfect for creating that "creamy" blonde or a perfectly melted brunette that looks flawless under any light.
The Result: Think of micro-foils as High-Definition colour. It takes more time and meticulous detail to apply, but the payoff is a flawless, shimmering finish that looks expensive and grows out beautifully.
haircolour with highlights/lowlights
Global Haircolour with a Full Head of Highlights & Lowlights is the ultimate service for those who want total transformation and rich, multi-tonal movement. Whether you are looking to cover grays or completely change your base shade, this technique builds a customized palette that adds body and a vibrant glow from every angle.
Custom Dimension: Highlights provide the lift and brightness, while lowlights add "shadow" to prevent the colour from looking flat. This contrast makes your hair appear thicker and more dynamic.
The "In-Between" Strategy: This is a fantastic option for those who want a sustainable hair journey. You don’t need a full head of foils at every visit; you can simply touch up your base colour (root colour) and apply a gloss in between larger sessions to keep your look fresh while only popping the dimension back in every now and then.
Understanding the Process
A Note on Warmth: When lifting hair, especially during transitions or on darker natural bases, it is important to expect some warmth. All hair has underlying red, copper, or gold pigments that are revealed as we lighten it.
The Refined Finish: While I use professional toners to neutralize and refine the final shade, embracing a touch of natural "glow" is often the key to achieving a healthy, sun-kissed, and believable result.
The Result: Total coverage meets high-definition dimension. This service is perfect for the client who wants a polished, "finished" look that still feels full of life and movement.
Fashion colour
Whether you’re dreaming of vivid violets, pastel pinks, or rebellious reds, Fashion Colours are the ultimate way to express your personality. I love creating these vibrant looks, but they are a "boutique" service because they require a unique level of commitment to keep them looking salon-fresh.
The Application Style
To ensure your hair remains healthy and the transition looks intentional, I prefer applying fashion shades through techniques like Balayage, Highlights, or Colour Blocking. This creates a more sophisticated result that grows out gracefully and fades beautifully between salon visits, rather than leaving you with a harsh regrowth line.
The Longevity Secret
Most fashion shades are semi-permanent, meaning they sit on the surface of the hair and can wash away easily. The secret to a three-month glow lies in your at-home habits:
The "Cold Water" Rule: This is the most important factor! Warm water opens the hair cuticle and allows the pigment to escape. To preserve vibrancy, you must wash with the coldest water you can tolerate.
Washing Schedule: I recommend spacing out your shampoos to once or twice a week. With freezing cold water and a minimal wash schedule, a colour that might usually disappear in two weeks can easily last up to three months.
Heat Styling: While you can use heat styling, high temperatures literally "cook" the colour out of the hair. I recommend keeping your tools at a moderate level and opting for heatless styling (like braids or overnight curls) whenever possible. If you do use heat, a high-quality heat protector is an absolute must.
Commitment vs. Damage
While fashion colours are generally less taxing on hair integrity than a Global Blonding (see below) service, they do require a high level of lifestyle commitment. If you are willing to brave the cold water and invest in professional care, the result is a stunning, custom masterpiece that stays vivid for months.
Expert Advice: Think of fashion colour as a silk garment. It’s beautiful and head-turning, but it requires a delicate touch and a professional care routine to keep it from losing its magic.
Global blonding
Global Blonding (also known as a Bleach & Tone) is a transformative service designed to achieve a striking, all-over blonde. Unlike highlights where natural hair is left out for contrast, this process involves lightening every single strand from roots to ends to create a solid, high-impact, and uniform canvas.
The Aesthetic
This service is the pinnacle of hair transformation. For those who can achieve this level of blonde, it creates an ethereal, high-fashion look that is clean, bright, and unapologetically bold.
A High-Commitment Service
It is important to be transparent: Global Blonding is my most exclusive and least frequent service. Because of the technical precision required and the toll it can take on hair integrity, it is not a "one size fits all" option. It requires a specific hair history and a serious commitment from the client.
Strict Maintenance: This is an extremely high-maintenance look. To prevent "banding" (uneven stripes of colour) and ensure a seamless lift, root touch-ups are required every 3 to 4 weeks. No exceptions.
Professional Home Care: Achieving this look is a partnership. To maintain the strength and tone of your hair, a dedicated professional at-home hair care routine is non-negotiable.
Managing Expectations: When lifting hair to these levels, underlying warmth is a natural part of the journey. I work meticulously to lift through those pigments, but the health of your hair will always be my first priority.
Is it for you? Global Blonding is for the client who views their hair as a luxury investment and is ready for the salon schedule and home-care discipline that comes with a flawless, editorial blonde.
